Last night I fulfilled my responsibility to get the tree in the house and set up...then I left the rest to my wife and kids - the decorating...They had so much fun!

Family portraits.
On Saturday, I had a great opportunity to work with one of the sweetest families you can ever meet. Mr. and Mrs. Parker, they are my wife’s uncle and aunt, and their kids and grandkids, met me at a local park. From the start I knew it would be fun, I just didn’t know how much. This is the largest family group I have worked with so far, and in a very short time. It was very cold, about 47F, that’s freezing in Texas. At least they all had nice rosy cheeks…hahaha. Here are a few samples from the day. Enjoy.

Inspirational Object Contest
This is the picture I submitted to MeRa Koh Photo contest, let see if it makes any mention.
Feel free to comment on any of my photos, I can always use a good critique.

Wide Angle Lens - Real Estate Photography
In addition to photography, I'm also a Real Estate Agent, and today I was working on my new listing. Below are a few photos I took to market this home. I used Canon 30D camera and EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens. Here are the results.
Self Portrait
This is my daughter drawing a portrait of herself. She has done many more since then, and of all of us too.
I touched up her face, very slightly and increased the saturation.
Welcome
After much procrastination, I have finally decided to create my own Photo Blog. My wife has posted a few pictures I shot since I got a dSLR, on our family blog. But this one should be geared more toward my work, not just the family.
All the pictures posted here are open to any constructive criticism, that's the only way to truly get better. Also, you can suggest any post production enhancement.
Thank you for stopping by and hope to build a lasting blog relationship with all of you.
Sincerely
Daniel Sirka
